Planning

The concept phase is fundamental for designing a chip that can be fabricated, packaged and tested.

Design

The Design Process includes the schematic design, building block design, circuit simulation and chip layouting.

Fabrication

During the fabrication process the PIC will be manufactured and packaged in close contact with the partners.

Shipment & Testing

After testing the packaged chips will be delivered to you.

Experience

Jörn Epping has extensive work experience in the field of quantum technology and photonics. Before founding Epiphany, Jörn worked at QuiX Quantum as head of R&D hardware and managing director of its German subsidiary as well as project manager at LioniX International. Throughout his career, Jörn has demonstrated expertise in project management, design engineering, and quantum technology. He received his PhD from University of Twente on the topic of integrated nonlinear photonics. Jörn has made significant contributions to the development of quantum technologies and integrated photonics in various roles.

Experience

Arjen is one of the driving forces in the community of integrated photonics since the 1990s. As founder and technical director of photonic EDA software (most notably PhoeniX Software) Arjen made huge contributions to the field of chip design and pdk development.

Photonic Design Engineer

Epiphany is looking for a Photonic Design Engineer to expand its team. Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of integrated photonics technology? Your Responsibilities

  • Design and simulation of photonic integrated circuits using industry-standard design tools. 
  • Optimization of PIC layouts for performance, manufacturability, and reliability. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality designs on schedule. 
  • Characterization and testing of fabricated PICs to validate performance specifications.
